1. Who we are
文禾电商 · Wenhe ("we") is an online shop delivering across Ghana. This page sets out what we collect, why we collect it and how we use it. It follows Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
2. What we collect
- Order details — your name, phone number, region, city or town, delivery address and any delivery note.
- What you ordered — the items in the order and the amount.
- Where the visit came from — the IP address you connected from and a short browser identifier. One record is written each time a page is opened, so we keep a record of your visit even if you never place an order. There is exactly one reason for it: spotting fake orders, such as several "new customers" with different names and numbers appearing behind the same IP address. It is not used to follow you across other websites and is not given to advertisers or Meta.
- Technical data — which pages you looked at, which advert brought you here, and whether you added something to the cart. We do not collect your precise location and we do not read your files.
We never collect card or bank numbers. Payment happens at your door, in cash or by mobile money.
3. Why we collect it
- To deliver your order and talk to you about it.
- To confirm orders by phone and to prevent fake ones — including checking whether several different names and numbers sit behind one IP address.
- To handle returns and refunds.
- To learn which adverts work, so we stop paying for the ones that do not.
4. Cookies and the Meta Pixel
We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure advertising. It records events such as viewing a product, adding to cart and completing an order. It cannot reach your Facebook account, your messages or your password.
You can opt out at any time by blocking third-party cookies in your browser, or by turning off ad personalisation in your Facebook settings. Blocking the pixel does not stop you ordering.
5. Who we share it with
- Delivery partners — only the name, phone number and address needed to deliver.
- Meta — only hashed identifiers used for advertising measurement.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Ever.
6. How long we keep it
Order records, including the IP address the order was placed from, are kept for 24 months for returns, warranty and tax purposes, and deleted after that. Visit records where nothing was ordered (IP address and pages viewed) are kept for the same period, deleted after 24 months. Marketing statistics are kept in aggregate form only.
7. Your rights
Under Act 843 you can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Message us on WhatsApp with your order number and we will respond within 14 days.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, no payment information is stored, and your cart lives only in your own browser. Only the team members who handle delivery and customer service can see customer records.
9. Terms of service
By placing an order you agree to the following.
- Give us accurate details. A wrong phone number or address can delay or cancel your order.
- Stay reachable. We try three times to reach you. If we cannot, the order is cancelled and you are charged nothing.
- Cash on delivery. Pay the rider in cash or by mobile money when the parcel is handed over.
- Prices and stock. Prices are in Ghana cedis (GH₵) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. If an item sells out after you order, we call you to offer a swap or cancel in full.
- Returns. See the Delivery & Returns page — within 7 days, unused, in the original packaging.
- Fake orders. We may cancel an order we have good reason to believe is fake, and block the number behind it.
- Limit of liability. Our liability is limited to the value of the order. We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, road closures, public holidays or other events outside our control.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
